Artificial Intelligence (AI) is automating and replacing many jobs from various industries. While AI will not replace humans for many jobs, it is more likely to create new millions of jobs in different sectors which will require a large number of people to learn and adopt the change. According to Cognizant (Cognizant, 2017), they purposed 21 new jobs that will emerge over the next 10 years which includes AI jobs such as AI-assisted Healthcare Technician, Man-Machine Team Manager, AI Business Development Manager, and Quantum Machine Learning Analyst. These jobs will create mass employment which will provide work for many AI professionals in different sectors.

Quantum Machine Learning (QML) Analyst is one of the jobs that AI will create in the near future as it is an emerging research area where quantum physics and machine learning are combined to make a hybrid system. Quantum computing is the future of computing and machine learning. Quantum machine learning uses quantum algorithms to solve tasks in machine learning. The applications of quantum machine learning can be similar to traditional machine learning, but the data will be encoded such that it is accessible for quantum information processing. In addition, quantum computers can be used to train deep neural networks which can adapt the physical control parameters like electromagnetic field and laser pulse frequency to solve problems (Pennylane, 2019).

Quantum Machine Learning is a challenging task as it needs knowledge about both quantum physics and machine learning. Machine learning in quantum computers will be a completely different experience than modern-day computing which will require a dedicated person to fulfil this position. In addition, the information processing with quantum computers is a completely different computer to modern computers that use bits to transfer information, but quantum computers use Qubits to transfer information which is also known as quantum theory (Pennylane, 2019). The role of this job requires an individual who can research and develop next-generation solution applications using disciplines of quantum information processing with machine learning. In addition, this position will require a vast knowledge of quantum technologies that can be used for the improvement of speed and performance in machine learning algorithms and find solutions to business problems faster.

There will be several background and skills required to fill the Quantum Machine Learning Analyst job as it cannot be trained and upskill a low-skilled person because it involves knowledge about both quantum physics and artificial intelligence. As a QML analyst, a candidate for this position needs to be highly skilled in quantum computing devices and quantum-based algorithms that can improve the classical machine learning methods. Some qualifications will be required such as post-graduate degrees in physics, artificial intelligence, or maths (Cognizant, 2017). Similarly, the candidate must be experienced in writing complex computational quantum algorithms for machine learning. The perfect fit will be someone who is creative and understands quantum information processing, machine learning, and deep learning. Also, the person needs to know how to apply principles of quantum mechanics and machine learning techniques to process large amounts of data related to quantum computing to create new applications.

There are many advances and significant breakthroughs in quantum deep learning and quantum computing which leads to the introduction of a new job in the near future which is Quantum Machine Learning (QML) Analyst. It requires knowledge about both quantum physics and machine learning to develop quantum physics-inspired machine learning applications. This job will require highly skilled people like this area of work involves many areas of study such as physics, maths, or artificial intelligence. The limitation of resources in this area will require a person to research methodology that can be used to produce exciting quantum physics-inspired applications.
